2014: When Tharparkar, Sind, Pakistan was hit by historic drought and famine, Alliance in association with HRHD launched Thar Drought Recuperation Program (raised $100,000).
HHRD did a solar powered submersible pump with a capacity pf 18,000 liters per day in the Village of Dadsar, Tharparkar.
Before this project, it was very difficult to plant a single leaf in Dadsar, but with this Alliance sponsored sweet water project, the barren land has been blessed with fertility, with fruits & vegetables being grown in the area.
